HIGHLIGHTS
Phase 1 drilling at Seymour (expanded to 15 holes totalling 5,000m at North Aubry) approximately 70% complete and ahead of schedule.
Phase 1 assay results expected to be received in late February and through March, following maiden hole result last month (40m at 1.54% Li2O, refer GT1 ASX release dated 17 January 2022).
Updated Mineral Resource estimate for Seymour on track for completion in Q2 2022.
Phase 2 drilling set to commence shortly, comprising a 31-hole, 5,100m diamond program focussed on the highly prospective and largely untested, Central Aubry LCT pegmatite zone.
Aggressive Phase 2 drill testing of the untapped Central Aubry zone has been driven by:
- Recent aerial magnetic surveying identifying the potentialfor stacked and shallow LCT pegmatite structures between the North and South Aubry deposits - Evidence from interpretation of Ground Penetrating Radar surveys and geological mapping. - Historical channel samples up to 4.14% Li2O confirms existence of LCT pegmatites in zone.
Exploration Permit at Seymour renewed by Ontario Mines Department for a further 3 years, with unanimous First Nations approval; ensures seamless continuity of exploration activities.
“Phase 1 drilling at North Aubry is approaching completion, both on budget and ahead of schedule. This performance has been delivered in the face of the Omicron COVID-19 variant, which also saw the proactive relocation of our drilling operations team and services to discrete accommodation out of an abundance of caution. I am extremely proud of the entire GT1 Ontario team for what has been achieved through this period.” “We are now excited to be moving the focus of Seymour drilling activities to Central Aubry. The strong potential of this zone to connect the North and South Aubry deposits via a series of stacked, high-grade lithium pegmatites make it a stand-out target for testing.” Chief Executive Officer Luke Cox
